CookSurfing: Ayurvedic vegetarian cooking May 30th

I was so lucky to participate in this nice event hosted by the Kaya Kalp Yoga Academy where Anand introduced us to the wold of this ancient wisdom, Ayurveda.

We could get to know the foundational theory of Ayurveda, including its Vedic roots, the Maha Bhutas (Great Elements), Prakriti, Tridosha and Agni. If you would like to find out what is your Ayurvedic body type, check this test. The program was dedicated to the practical application of Ayurveda in everyday life.

The menu
Ayurvedic yoghurt drink (natural yoghurt with salt, pepper, roman cumin)
Mango lassi (natural yoghurt mixed with mango concentrate, rose water, and sugar - better not to use sugar, but fresh mango or replace it with some other local, seasonal fruit)
Red lentils soup
Potato vegetable sabji
Fresh saladmix
Bashmati rice with cumin
Chapati (whole grain flour and water) - We could learn the trick how to bake them well.
Thanks for the CookSurfing community.
