Vienna Food Adventure

2 weeks ago i went to Vienna to help in a 100 km run race in the Prater park.
Market visit. Quite an exotic atmosphere... felt like in Turkey!
Picnic with a green shoes in the Karlspatz.

Some nice places to eat vegetarian in Vienna
MAKRO1 * macrobiotic, vegan restaurant
Fleischmarkt 16, A-1010 Wien
All food offered is healthy, macrobiotic and vegan. the lunch special consists of soup and a plate full of grains, veggies and salad and is definitely filling and affordable. Guests of the restaurant gather around one big table inside, or enjoy the shadowy nice courtyard. Better to show up early, because lunch sells out soon.

Desserts are great, we tried a Carob bread and a Linzer tort with marmalade, snacks like nori rolls and seitan filled pastries are available. Open only from 10am 16 pm.

THE WIENER DEEWAN ** All you can eat - Pay as you wish! **
Pakistani restaurant Liechtensteinstrasse 10, 1090 Wien
Don't miss it! 3 dishes out of 5 are vegetarian and very tasty!
The concept works for more than 3 year, eat as much you want and pay as you wish!

Währinger Straße 57 (1090)

Small veggie restaurant. Has a daily changing menu that consists of soup, main meal, and dessert. Open Mon-Fri 10-18. Rather old-fashioned, with Austrian style food. Not too exciting, but ok place to eat. And no english menu..

  GRADWOHL ** bio wollwet backerei
Feischmarkt 20 1010 Wien
My favourite bakery with whole grain flour product, no white sugar, and vegan options also.
